Hello and welcome to 2CarPros. If by hot you mean it overheated, it is possible that the overheating caused a head gasket failure. If hot refers to the outside temperature it could be multiple items. What does it do when you turn the key? Any warning lights or check engine light?

No there are no dash lights coming on it just doesn't start it turns over but doesn't start it doesn't seem to be getting any fire from the spark plugs or two spark plugs are sparking for sure the other two maybe. Timing chain is good the water pump just went out it. Just doesn't seem to turn over or have enough fire to turn it over and yes I meant temperature hot not outside hot.

When it got hot the water pump went out and hasn't started since. Would that have anything to do with it?

It may have. Overheating can damage parts. The first step would be to run a compression test and a leak down test, just to see if there is any internal damage from the overheating.
Then test for fuel and spark.

If you have good compression in all 4 cylinders then a quick test for fuel and spark is to shoot a bit of carburetor cleaner into the air cleaner and see if the engine fires at all on that. If it does you at least have some spark.
