I got the car about a month ago and about a week later it started overheating and leaking water. So we changed the water pump and the thermostat, it still overheats. A few days ago coming home from work on the highway it wouldn't accelerate by the time I got home it shut off. So next went and bought a new battery by the next day the battery was dead so went and got a replacement battery and a new starter installed starter, new battery and replaced some of the fuses. Now my car just won't start. Help !

Hi,

When you indicate a battery and starter replacement, it leads me to believe the starter isn't engaging. Is that what is happening or does the starter engage and the engine not start?

Until I hear back from you, take a look through these two links. One discusses the most common causes of a crank no start, and the other is related to an inoperative starter.

Let me know exactly what is happening. Also, if the starter is working and you can record it and upload it for me to hear, it may be helpful. One last question. How badly did it overheat?

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
