Hi there. I own the car listed above 1.6TDCI engine. There is white smoke coming from the exhaust. It doesn't happen all the time although it's becoming more regular. It happens when I ease off the accelerator, then big clouds of white smoke comes from exhaust.

Hello,

White smoke from the exhaust is usually a sign that coolant is being burnt in the combustion chambers of your engine. Here are a couple of links below for you to go to:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/head-gasket-blown-test

This usually happens with a blown head gasket, but it can also be from a coolant crossover tube, on V6 and V8 applications, or a cracked cylinder head or cracked block. Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
