My car's warning lights came on last week and a friend changed out the radiator hose after he cut the other one off. Due to a leak in it. Now that the new hose is on, and I've driven it a little, the warning lights are coming back on. I added coolant three times and it drained out too much, I think. I'm not sure what's wrong with it.

Hello,

Can you tell me which warning light you are getting? You can upload a picture if you're not sure.

If the coolant is leaking out, you will have to inspect and see where the leak might be coming from. It can leak from any of the hoses, from the water pump, even from the radiator.

Here are a couple of helpful articles:

Here is a leak testing video:

Is the vehicle over heating? Usually if you are low on coolant the engine will run hot. And if it is allowed to run for an extended period it can cause internal damage.

Please let me know a little more detail of what you are experiencing and what exact warning light that you are getting.

Thank you.
