Shut off while driving and will not start

Okay, so I pulled the valve off and although there was not much carbon build up there was a little bit so first thing I did was vacuum out intake, then the valve, and the tube just cause I was there. Then I cleaned out the valve as best as I could. I am going to put new gasket and clean valve back on tonight. Should I worry about the other codes before attempting to fire it up? Or could those just be due to the truck being cold and in operable at the time of the test?

Cleaned egr, put it back on and it fired right up. Which is better than the last time I tried starting it but after maybe a minute of just idling it stalled again. This time I noticed that I heard fuel pump kick on and prime immediately following the stall. Not sure how long the priming would have lasted if I wouldn't have turned it off.

Tried clearing the codes but that didn't work I was unable to get them to clear. I tried to clear them using the jumper wire and nothing changed. Im starting to think I have a bad eec. Although it is entirely possible the egr may still be problematic. Not sure what to do next.

It always starts up the first ttry but after about a minute it stalls. If I give it any gas it stalls imediately and then if I try to start it back up sometimes it will run for a few seconds then stall again but after that itll just crank it wont fire up a third time. When I start it the first time and it runs for that minute it runs just fine, no idle issues, it doesnt chug, it doesnt make any weird sounds it just wont stay running.

So recently I replaced the fuel pump, and had a shop replace the EGR valve and fuel pressure regulator and make sure everything is correct. The shop computer says there are no problems and everything checks out. So, the problem is when I am driving and slow down to take a turn, the engine all of the sudden dies. Before taking the turn, there are no visible symptoms, the engine seems to be running fine even when I am slowing down. This has only happened twice, and from the speed I can see before I lose all power it is about in the 15MPH-20MPH range. There isnt anything I can think of that leads to this problem. I'm suspecting maybe a failing computer. Ideas?

I have a 1991 ford bronco 5.0 liter 302. I recently discovered the map senser was bad. It was creating a power loss so I repaired that now when im driving down the road ive noticed some times when I floor it in gear it dies for a second? Also the transmission isn't acting right when I put it into gear it takes a second to react. I checked the fluid its old but it dosent smell burnt should I just change the fluid and the filter?

You might have a couple separate problems. Does the vehicle actually die when you accelerate, or just bog down? Changing the transmission fluid and filter is a good start--make sure to clean the pan out with carb cleaner or brake clean. I don't usually recommend snake oil but I've had good luck with Lucas transmission additive--its really slick and thick, so it helps increase pressure in the clutch drums as well as free up pieces in the valve body which control the shifting. Start with a trans service and go from there.

this is what i've done so far in order. Checked fuel lines when it would not start. Plenty of fuel no frozen line. Looked at spark plugs it was burning very very rich. Changed the o2 sensor, plugs, plug wires, distributor, rotor. Tryed starting and it would fire up but stall right away. Replaced the idle air control sensor. Fired up and idled good no service engine light like before the iac replacement to keep it going you had to hold it at a higher rpm and the chech engine would come on. After the sensor replacement and a good idle for bout 20 min nice and hot I took it around the block 4 the first and it ran really god a lot more pep but then the check engine light came on. Got it back home tried to park it in a tight spot started to run rough again and kept stallin. I had to park it bak in the snow so I was giving it more power than usual but kept stallinuntil I got it to the right spot. Tried starting it again and it wants to stall everytime like before the replacement of the iac. Could it be the throttle positioning sensor or the drive idle sensor or I you have any ideas please let me know.I was told most check engine lights r from emission related sensors is that correct cause this is the route i've been taking. I have a 1990 Ford Bronco, 5.0L V8. I have an ignition problem. Ive checked the fuel pump, its fine. I have checked the starter it is still good. Just replaced the battery, and sparks and plugs are about a year old they are still good. I have pulled the steering wheel and ignition. I have also checked the ignition switch, it doesn't seem to be the problem. When I turn the key or push the lock aculator in, the truck will turn over and start perfectly fine, but when I release my hand from the key or aculator it will die on me. Its not seeming to fall back into the run position it is either slipping or missing. I don't know what to do. Any Help?

Ive inspected the cylinder lock. It seems to be working fine. It rotates right and I dont think its coming from there. May I ask where the ignition switch is. Someone else said that may be the problem but I can not locate it.
