Hello,

So, I have not turned the car on for maybe a month and I decided to turn on the car today, but it wouldn't work. When I turned the key in the ignition, I got zero turnover of the engine. Also, when I put the key into the ignition, and turned the key forward (clockwise) before I tried to turn the car on, I did not get any light on the dash and my car radio wouldn't work when it usually does when the key is in this position. Even though I have read that getting zero sound when turning the ignition indicated a problem with the starter, I believed it to be a battery issue since when I charged the battery with myself starting battery charger, the lights on the dash turned on. I turned the ignition and still there was no sound. I was wondering if this was a battery or starter issue. How can I diagnosis this? I also suspect my vehicle's alarm was tripped and it's on anti-theft mode, so that might compound the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi,

When the lights and other things turned on, did you have something connected to the battery in the vehicle?

Based on everything you mentioned, it sounds like a battery issue. Do me a favor, disconnect any chargers or other things from the battery and perform this simple load test:

Let me know the results.

Take care,
