When you try to acelerate, the engine smothers. There are two other readings given to me by Advance Auto. Fuel system 1 - open loop. Fuel system 2 - open loop. The o-ring was bad on the MAF. I changed it, but no help. The floor in my garge is cold black from the sputtering exhaust, when you acelerate.

Good morning,

I attached the testing for the MAF sensor. It is on the air intake between the air filter and the throttle.

Do you have any codes set in the system?

INSPECT MASS AIR FLOW METER

imageOpen In New TabZoom/Print

a. Output voltage inspection.
1. Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 (+B) and 2 (E2G).
2. Connect the positive (+) tester probe to terminal VG, and negative (-) tester probe to terminal E2G.
3. Blow air into the MAF meter, and check that the voltage output fluctuates.

b. Resistance inspection.
1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 4 (THA) and 5 (E2).

I have a 0110 OB2 code and have replaced the MAF. Some tell me the IAT and MAF are one and some say there is a separate IAT.

You do not have an IAT only a MAF which is part of an assembly/duct work. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
