I have a 1994 4x4 Toyota Ext. Cab Pickup, 3L V6, Standard Trans.
After engine is warm, sometimes the engine "lopes" and kind of "deisels" at idle & almost stalls. At mid range RPM, it runs a it irradically and is less noticable throughout the power ban but is still miss firing a bit.
It seems to be only from time to time and not all the time.
If I shut the engine off at the time of rough idle, it will not start no matter what, until engine is cooled off or about 1-2 hours.
At first I thought the feul pump was faulty beause I had gone through a few after market fuel pumps in the past that my truck did not like. The one I recently replaced seemed OK but a Toyota mechanic said that it may be due to a boarder line pressure and so I dropped $460.00 on a new one and replaced it and the feul filter.
Still having the problem and it seems worse with certain brands and Octane rated gas.

I looked for vacuum leak but could not find one anywhere. I did notice however, that there was a louder than normal tapping noise by the fuel injector rail( I think it is the pressure ragulator. Looks like a small metal disk with vacuum hose and contains a diaphram)

89 toyota truck 4x4 3.0 5-speed 210000 miles, truck sat for 6 months before I bought it, ran fine first month I got it, one day had to tap starter to get it running, that night I hot fueled it so not to take a chance of not starting, back on interstate it started to stall when slowing down, was able to keep up speed on off ramp and keep running, also lights were dimming and radio shut off. Jump started and ran fine.A few other times I needed to jump start, or tap started never both. Last time it stalled after a jump and hot fuel, it would run at idle but as soon as given gas it loops real bad and stalls.
