Tercel CE 1997, 125,000 miles, 4 cl Been starting inconsistently. The first time, thougt it was battery and got a jump but that wasn't it. Then I tried starting the car again, and it started up. My guess it is the clutch, as on a Toyota truck, if the clutch is not engaged all the way to the floor, it will not start. But then it started to turn on, but not start, so now I think it is the ignigition switch? I would like some kind of answer before taking it in to the dealer to get fixed so they don't SNOW me, or ripp me off! Thank you for your help!

Could be the I/switch, Clutch switch, starter relay and starter-having a clutch problem will not prevent it from starting-meaning it will crank and start w/o the clutch
