Is there a way that I can, at home, improve my exhaust, making the vehichle sound better too?

You can buy an aftermarket exhaust, Borla, Flowmaster etc. And install it.

You would have to see if thay make an aftermarket system for the Toyota, or a universal system that will fit. If they do not have a OE replacement, there will probably be welding involved since stock Toyota systems are bolt on.
