Hello,

I just had the engine completely rebuilt and all is well except the cruise control cuts out after a few miles, then blinks, then the light turns off. I can turn it back on and it will do the same thing. The entire unit was replaced a few years back so I feel this is due to something in the reassembly of the rebuild rather than the unit. The check engine light has not come on so I haven't checked for trouble codes yet. Thanks for your help.

Be sure it has good vacuum to the cruise unit. That all grounds are hooked up. Does it hold a steady speed when it does work?

Thanks Jack,

I'll check the vacuum (didn't know it had one) and ground. Yes, it holds a steady speed when it works. The last two trips out (today and yesterday) has been fine.10 miles each way with cruise on working properly. Maybe the engine needed a few more miles to break in (it literally was finished last week).

Thanks,

Bob
