1987 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

Hey there, got a problem trying to replace the front wheel bearings, ive taken the wheel of, taken the split pin out and the star shaped cover, and im trying to crack the main nut on the shaft. And for the life of me I cant crack it? Any ideas? Ive done wheel bearings on old holdens, are these different? Dan

Hi there,

This nut is very tight and often need a 3/4" drive to undo it, the bearings are not the same as your old holden, this car has a double row ball race which is one assembly and is pressed in with special tools so they are not damaged, I think that this should be left to your mechanic to do.
