My 1999 Toyota 4 Runner SR5 with the v6 AT 106000 miles was coding that it was running lean. We changed both Oxygen sensors and now per the computer there are no problems. If you apply the gas quickly or try to go up a hill it boggs down almost like it is flooded and will not go over 20 miles an hour. My mechanic has been ripping into it for days and cant find a thing wrong with it. SO far no one I have talked with has ever heard of a 4 runner having this problem.

Well, start from the fundamentals. Air, fuel, Spark. Spark(ignition), we can assume it's good because you can turn the thing on. Air, well, it's gotta be there or you'd never actually get power. Finally, fuel. How's your fuel pump doing? Fuel filter? Fuel injectors? Check your spark plugs and see what color they are. Check this page to get a DECENT way to read your plugs.

Have it scanned for an OBD2 code/s and comeback-if you like check and bench test the coolant temperature, throttle position and mass airflow sensors for a start.
