You said you had power to the black wire with a white tracer at the ignition switch with the key in the run position. So that means there is a break somewhere between the ignition switch and the st fuse. That could be where they tapped into the starter circuit for the alarm. Let me know what you find.

I found a pink wire that had been disconnected in between the ignition switch and the alarm box. I believe it was connected by a fusible link. I twisted the wires back together directly. I also hooked the security system back up because the wire coming from the ignition switch runs directly to the security system box. The system is made by chapman. There is another gray wire with a fusible link at the end of it with nothing connected to the other side. I could not find a wire that would have went into it. I am concerned this problem is because of the security system. When it is plugged in, I can not get the alarm to stop going off. I now have the negative battery terminal off so the alarm will not drain my battery. Also, after trying to bypass the alarm, I realised that pulling the alarm fuse makes it to where my car will not shift out of park. What is the best way to test the fuses under the hood with a test light? I want to do that again just to be safe. Thanks for your cooperation.

You can use a test light to check the fuses. The problem we have to figure out is why is there power at the ignition switch but not to the st fuse?

Ok. I will climb back under there and look. There are 3 or 4 in line fuses in between the fuse box/security box and the ignition. They all had power coming to them. There are many fusible links. Any more info you need just let me know. Thanks again

Mabye the security system is preventing power from getting to the st fuse? Just throwing ideas out there I have been told the car will not start when the alarm is set.

Ok. I can not find anything out of the ordinary with the wires under the dash. I decided to check the fuses again and I found that one side of the fuse box under the hood, is not getting power to it. Its just one side I think there are 3 or 4 fuses of different amps. Just mini fuses not the bigger ones. The other side is getting power to all of the fuses.

It all depends on which fuses they are as to if they will have power or not to them when you check them. The wire that goes from the ignition switch to the ST fuse has power coming out of the ignition switch but you said that power never gets to the ST fuse. Thats part of the starter circuit and that will cause the starter to be inop. Give me your email address and I will email you the wire diagram so you can see what iam talking about.
