The car went cold and then stalled?

Last night my hot light came on. I pulled over instantly and waited 40 minutes. Then I drove another 2 miles home on the way home. I kept a close eye on the temperature, and everyone backed up. But by a 100 yd from my house, the car went cold and then shut off. I had a mechanic look at it today. And he said it was a timing belt. He said that means my engine is toast. It can't be replaced, is that true?

If the engine overheated and then the timing belt broke it can be because the engine locked up, we would see if the engine turns over by hand. This video can help us:

Sorry it takes long I'm in Florida with the storm and all. The mechanic
who checked out the car said it would turn over. But the reason why it was trashed was because the timing belt was a serpentine, and it would take too much effort to replace it, so my car was worthless. The mechanic who
look at it is no longer here. Obviously, and I'm waiting for the storm to end, so try to get some prices. Maybe someone else checking out my car. Thank you again, know what I'm saying. Thank you again for taking the time to respond to me.
