I need to replace my engine timing belt can you help me please?

Hi betojasso,

That would depend on your luck.

There is a possibility the valves are not affected and installing the belt would do.

Check the valve clearances first, if any clearances are abnormally large, then the valves are bent and you would have to remove the head to replace the valves.

I have a 96 Honda accord 6 cylinder 2.7 liter engine. Currently the miles are 181000. The owner manual says replacing the timing belt at 60000 for the 4 cylinder engine but it doesnt say anything about 6 cylinder. Please advice. Thanks

The belt is the same as for the 4 cyl or 6 cyl (made from the same material )
and should be replace as the book said to avoid engine damage in case of belt failure
