I need to know what newer motor and transmission I can put in a 1988 honda accord. I want a standard transmission to replace the automatic and would prefer a 2.0l at least. Whatever engine requires the least amount of work!

You could go with the old school prelude motor; B20; its a 2.0 L dohc; its a decent motor. Plus you can find one at a junk yard for about 250 with trans.

Trust me. You are going to waste ALOT of time and ALOT of money. Putting a new motor in the car doesnt mean its new. And changing the tranny around is so stupid for an '88. Think about it and all the time your going to waste on this. For god sakes its an accord
