When I turned the key again. Nothing. No crank?

The first time I turned the key, the truck cranked but didn't catch. When I turned the key again. Nothing. No crank, no cough amd no clicking. The dash lights and headlights worked fine, didn't dim when I tried starting. Battery is fully charged and corrosion free. Checked wires and no noticeable issues. I know when it clicks, usually it's the starter but I'm not getting even a single click. I have no one to call on for help and need some direction of what else to check. Thanks

Even though the starter is not making a noise it sounds like it is bad but to be sure you can use a test light on the trigger wire when A helper is holding the key in the on position.
