High pitch squealing noise while driving

When I am driving my vehicle it makes a high pitch squeal and it does it the whole time I am driving it. It doesn't favor any certain way I drive it just starts the second I start driving.

If you step on the brakes, does the noise stop?

It's usually way way louder and it didn't stop when I press on the brakes.

Two things come to mind.

1. Have the brakes checked. they have warners or squealers on the pads that rub against the rotor when the pads are low in material. It is built like that to drive you crazy to have the brakes checked.

2. Universal joint in the driveshaft. Usually when this is the issue, there will be a vibration in the truck when driving.

That was better.

It sounds like either the brake squealers are hitting the rotors or something in the belts or the drive belt for the engine.

Did you take it anywhere to have someone check it?

I would take it to a shop and at least have them drive with you to get there opinion and let me know what they say.
