Thank you all for all your directions. Now for the fun part. Funny thing is I was a mechanic in a paper-mill for twenty years. Had pretty much every tool I need. Gave most of my tools away, comealongs, straps and now got to buy. Thanks again. Thomas P.S is there somewhere I can donate a little?

Hey guys, i'm slowly removing engine from my pickup, 3rd day. I bought a engine hoist adapter thing that has 4 points to hook up to engine. My question is, can I hook that up to the manifold bolts, the heads are steel not aluminium? The mechanic changed them. If not there then where. Not sure i'm going to get that far today but I was wondering what i'm going to hook to. Thank you, Thomas

Good morning,

Yes, you can. Use longer bolts for the manifold so you get a good bite on the threads so it will support the weight of the engine.
