I haven't finished putting everything back together yet, but you are right with the numbers on the pulse wheel. However, others have steered me wrong, including one of the pictures (28) you sent. It shows the key-way in alignment with the missing tooth on the wheel. That is the way I have been putting it on for four times. A number of others have said the proper way to install the wheel is aligning the key-way up with the blank spot. After looking on the back side on the wheel I noticed a pattern that showed my how the wheel was on before I started pulling the engine apart. In the first, second, and third imaged is the pattern on the back that led me to believe I had the thing on wrong. The fourth image is how the pic 28 looks, which is wrong. The fifth is the numbers you said marked the key-way. If it doesn't start after this I really don't know what to do. I'm sure everything will turn over good.

Welcome back:

I think that is the problem. Let us know how things work out for you. And I see your confusion when looking at the directions. I miss the old days when there were two marks. On on the cam gear and one on the crank. It was much easier. LOL

One other thing. The picture from Alldata of the pulse wheel should show the other keyway slot. Thanks again.
