My service and track light came on yesterday, what action do I need to take next? And is it okay to drive?

Good morning,

Do you know the codes that are set?

If the light is not flashing, it should be okay to drive as long as it is running properly.

The trac light is part of the ABS system.

The check engine light is part of the fuel control system for the engine.

I would have the codes checked at a parts store. Once I know the codes, I can further help you. This service for pulling the codes is free.

That is correct. The service engine light indicates a fault in the engine control system. A codes is stored in the system for the area of the failure. That is why I need the code that is set. Then I can help narrow the area of failure.
