1995 Saturn SC2 Engine won't start

I had my saturn SC2 clutch replaced last week by a local transmission shop. After the repair they have not been able to get the car started. It turns over good but will not start. At first they told me it was a computer problem, now they are saying the timing chain has jumped a tooth and it will be towed to another shop to fix that which I will have to pay for. I dont understand this because I drove the car to there shop and have never had a problem starting the car before.
