Replaced main window/lock switch, now key buttons are not working properly?

I changed my main window/lock switch, now can't get key buttons to lock and unlock.

Were they working properly prior to replacing them? In other words, what was the reason for replacing these switches?

I am attaching the process below on how to replace these in case you or someone else needs it.

However, if after you replaced the switches, they are not working or doing something different than they were, then you most likely have a faulty switch.
