Hi, when I am driving I hear like a clicking or rattling noise under the truck. I checked the u-joints their was no play in them. If I am in park and hit the gas it does not do it. I have also shifted into neutral while it is coasting and hit the gas and I get no noise. Their are no grease fittings so I cannot grease them to tell if that is the problem. Is there a way to put grease in them without having the grease fitting? I am not sure what else it could be. Also, I had a question about 4L what is the fastest you can go in it. I have heard no more than ten mph. Thanks. This is a K1500 extended cab. Also this noise has gotten wore over the last few months.

This sounds like you have a muffler baffle that has come loose inside and you need a new muffler. With the engine off try to bang on the muffler to see if you can get it to make the noise. This is a common problem.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

On the 4 low speed limit, on most you do not want to exceed about twenty mph. The engine will be screaming at you at that point.
