Air Conditioning problem
2000 Pontiac Montana 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 137000 miles
Several weeks ago the AC on my 2000 Pontiac Montanna started squilling and I thought it was the belt so I use a belt dressing, however that did not stop the problem. During this time I noticed the air, at times not being as cool. Eventually it stopped cooling altogether. I checked it with one of those gauges that comes with a can of 134a freon and the gauge reads in the red, I believe somewhere around 100lb. I tried to add freon but the AC would not take it. Also let me say, because I don't know if this contributes to the problem or not but in the winter months when I have the heat on I get very, very little air preasure coming from the AC/heat vents, however this was not the case when the AC worked.
