My 1992 Pontiac dies when I let off the gas. I have to give it gas to make it start, and when my foot is off the gas for more than a second or two, the car dies. I think it is the fuel pump, but im not sure. Autozone wont diagnose it because it not 96 or newer. Does this sound like a fuel pump, or something else.

To me, it sounds like an idle air problem. Clean the throttle-body and check the idle air control system. You should be able to access mil codes, yourself. You place a jumper wire between the A & B terminals at the datalink connector. Then, turn the key till the dash lites come on, no further. The mil on the dash starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. As an example, a code 12 is one flash followed by a slight pause then two quick flashes. The picture below is just to show location of terminals A & B.
