1996 Pontiac Grand Am having a few problems

Wel the first problem is it goes trough a tank of gas in 4 days not sure why also seems to have problems shifting gears when gainning speads and stsrting from the stat.

4 days one gas tank
don’t mean a thing
how many mile do you do on a full tank
have you checked the tune up
do u have check engine light
and since you having trouble picking up speed I would say check the engine operation
is it tuned and if the tranny slipping check fluid
let me know
