My left turn signal only works when it feels like it. Sometimes it will work when you turn the signal to activate the left and then turn on the hazard lights for 3 - 4 cycles. Sometimes this doesn't even work. On other occasions it works just fine. There are no problems with the right one. Don't know if related or not but when headlights on the front park lights will turn on/off by themselves.

One place to start looking for an intermittent problem is the electronic flasher unit itself. It's plugged in above the brake pedal, and can become partially unplugged due to its own weight.
