1991 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

It's a 91 grand voyager.
Wouldn't start after running all day; had full tank of gas.
Tow truck guy banged on the fuel tank and it started.
Figured it was the fuel pump and so I replaced it.
Still won't start.
When I turn the key on, I can hear the pump come on for two or three seconds then shut off.
Why does it shut off?

I would have suspected fuel pump for sure too pump should come on when 1st key on for few seconds and then shut off
and it should come on when engine is cranking too
check for fuel pressure and check for spark
let me know
