Check engine light came on today prior to this I did have loss of acceleration every time I would stop and go at a light or stop sign it would not accelerate properly. Everywhere I read I keep getting input or output or both sensors.

It idles high every time from a cold start.

These are the only issues I have with the vehicle.

The light came on about a year ago and it was the same code and I reset it and now it just came back on.

Hi,

The code is related to the transmission. The transmission control module (TCM) can request activation of the MIL lamp via a communication line to the PCM. This is only a request from TCM to PCM to turn the check engine light on.

So, P1529 is just an indicator that a trouble code is stored in the TCM. You need to have a scan tool that can read codes from the transmission module. In this case, I would recommend scanning the can-bus.

CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different computers/modules are tied together via a few wires. This will retrieve the codes regardless of the module storing them. In this case, it's the TCM.

Here is a link explaining how it is done:

This is what needs to be done so we know which direction to go. Is this something you can have done?

Let me know.
