Overheating stalls and no power

So got a engine swap with the same stock motor and it idles sporadic and will shut off. If you let it it drives the idle is up and down took it to Dodge the said that did not unplugged a spark plug said did not show a misfire. They think its the computer?

Just to clarify, it was overheating and shutting off so you got an engine swap and now the engine is stalling at times and they think it is a misfire which an ECM will correct?

If this the case, either we are missing part of the story or they didn't do much investigation into the possible causes. Is the check engine light on? If so, what are the codes?
