When I put vehicle into drive and depress gas the car starts to sputter but does not stall unless I completely depress the gas pedal all the way. If I gradually give gas the vehicle will slowly accelerate but will not exceed 50mph. I have replaced air filter and gas filter and have added fuel cleaner additive. The only other odd symptoms that may apply is that the vehicle starts and dies immediately upon initial start but after turning key second time vehicle starts and runs fine. Vehicle runs smoothly when idling. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Hi
Could be several things lets see if your car will tell us.
Locate the ALDL connector under center of dash. Get a paper clip and jumper between the last two terminals on top row that's A &B. Turn key so dash lights are on just before start position. Obeserve the check engine light it will start to flash. Flash once pause then flash flash that = 12. Count flashes and record number like flash flash pause flash is 21.
Let me know
Thanks for donate
