Hello, I am driving a 1995 Oldsmobile 98. The problem I am having is that when the car is warm and I take it up a hill I the engine starts to lose power and starts violently stuttering. If I floor it, the shuddering will stop, and if I let off the gas the shuddering will stop. I replaced all three ignition coils, the fuel filter, and I cleaned the throttle body as well as the Mass airflow sensor. I checked the vaccuum lines to the fuel pressure regulator, and I have made no progress. I have also found that after I drive somewhere, when I get out of the car I can smell gas. But there is no gas leak, so I am wondering if I am running too rich and getting misfires going uphill or if the fuel pump is freaking out. I am at a total loss because no warning lights or check engine lights are coming on. Thanks

Hello and thanks for donating

Since you stated you smell fuel strongly, you may want to inspect the spark plugs to ensure they are getting a bright blue/white spark. Also see if any of the plugs are blackened and/or have carbon build up. Let me know how they look
