Fast idel when starting car

Hello:
i have 1987 oldsmobile 98 regency brogham with 127,000 miles on it.I replaced the following.
1. New battery
2. A new Alternator
3. New battery cables.
4. New Spark Plugs
5. New idel air control
6. New icm Ignition Module
7. New ecm compter control module with a new eprom for gm vintage warehouse
8. The car now has no codes from the computer. AFTER IT WAS INSTALLLED
when you start the car it has a very fast idle, after about 5 mins. I turn off the car. I start the car again after a few mins. The idle is good.
the car has 3.8 L 213 CID V6 General Motors engine
I NEED HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM
ALSO THE GAS MILAGE IS BETTER

After you install an idleair control on these models you have to drive about40 mph so they will set. Has that been done? If it has then clean throttleplate on both sides andiac hole with choke cleaner then check for a vacuum leak.
