Not starting, could it be the fuel pump?

When we try to turn the car over, it makes a single deep clunk sound. We just replaced the alternator and battery.

Good afternoon,

Do you mean the starter engages but the engine will not turn? If that is the case, I would remove the spark plugs and try again. If there is liquid in the cylinders it will not turn.

If it still does not turn, then the engine is locked up from an internal failure.

Can you upload a video of it trying to start?

I don't think it's getting to the starter engaging. Thanks so much for your help!

Thank you. See if you can turn the engine by hand.

It sounds like the starter is engaging but the motor is not turning.
