1995 Dodge Caravan aceleration problem

Two days ago I bought $5 in gas and in a few minutes the engine started running rough. Cutting out and backfie upon aceleration. Now when it cranks it idels rough and when I push the pedal it cutts out and tries to die. And when it gets hot it runs rougher till it dies. And wont crank back till it cools off.
I have been having problems with fuel pump if I let the gas get to low and it sets for awhile. It eont crank back till I put in a couple gallons then it cranks rite away.
I replaced the fuel filter today with no luck. I checked most vacume lines.
I dontbknow what to do. Rick

Rick:

When the engine won't start, I need you to check fuel pump pressure at the fuel rail. Something tells me the sock, AKA the strainer that attaches to the fuel pump inlet is plugging. If you need directions, visit our homepage under the diy section and you will find both directions and a video to help you. You will, however, need a fuel pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent one to you.

Check that and let me know what you find.
