We can hear the fuel pump turn on for a few seconds and that's it. We can run power directly to the fuel pump and still does not pump gas for the fuel pump to the injectors.

We need to confirm that the fuel pressure is the issue and not just the pump.

So, we need to start with checking the pressure when you hear the pump run and if you get no pressure then we have a pump issue.

The only thing that I am questioning is if there is something that is telling the PCM to shut the pump off but even if you are running power to the pump and it doesn't continue to run then this sounds like a pump issue.

So, let's start with a pressure issue and go from there.

Thanks

Could the anti-theft shut the car down, and if so, how do you reset it?

Hi,

The anti-theft can prevent the vehicle from starting. However, the anti-theft light would blink or stay on constantly. Under normal conditions, it should blink once and then turn off. Is that happening?

If you have a spare key, try it. Also, let me know if the anti-theft light is constantly blinking or staying on steady.

Take care,

Joe
