AC compressor replacement now rough idle?

I replaced the AC compressor now the engine runs rough?

This could be related to the compressor replacement, and the easiest way to find out is to just remove the drive belt and start the engine to see if it still runs rough.

If it does then it is not related to the compressor itself.

However, if it does run better then we need to replace the compressor again because more than likely the clutch is dragging or locked.

However, I suspect we need dig further on the possible causes of the rough running because the compressor is most likely not the cause. This means we need to check for vacuum leaks and then misfires.

If this all checks out the next likely thing to check is the fuel pressure.
