Overheating While Idling

Whenever my 2001 Eclipse GS is in park the temp. Guage runs hot but as soon as I start to go it goes back down. I haver replaced the thermostat and still the problem presists. I was wondering if there is anything I can do. I have an aftermarked cold air intake on it, could that be the problem. Please help. :(

I have the same problem with my eclipse. '01, 2.4L, RS, 75,000miles. I do not have a cold air intake but I also have been experiencing the heating up at idle. I found originally the coolant was low so I added it a few times until I found the leak. I fixed the hose and it was good for a while but now its doing it again. And I cant find any more leaks
