Help

Mitsubishi shogun sport 2.5 turbo deisel equippe, had new clutch assembly fitted with thrust bearing 24 hrs after fitting there is a rattle when gear is in neutral and foot is off clutch, when clutch is pressed back down the noise goes away, garage charged me a fortune for fitting new clutch, now they are telling me it could be the gear box, a friend reckons it is the thrust bearing not put in properly, would be really gratefull to hear what you have to say, the year of car is 2001 and mileage is 149000 miles
