Heater problem
2001 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

2001 Merc Sable 3.0 24V DOHC At times my climate control runs wild and goes to the hottest setting even when the AC is on. If I disconnect the battery cable for about 10 mins or more it resets itself and is ok. This might last for a week or a month or what

I'm not quite sure what you need. I usually run it on Auto and keep the temp set at 69 or 70 degrees. I never had any repaiirs done to it, Thanks again!

I performed the test and got a 051 reading which was blinking. I waited for the test to complete and get a 888 reading but it never did. It stayed on 051 for about 10 minutes. How long does the test usually take? I turned the car off to get it back to normal. What does 051 mean? Thank again

Sunload sensor in dash is open needs to be replaced. Not providing AC computer with correct info so the wild swings disconnecting batt resets until it occurs again.
