Im trying to replace the front brake pads on my 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis. I got the caliper pins loosened but they just keep spinning and won't come off. I can not remove the caliper so that I can replace the brake pads. What am I doing wrong?

The pins are stuck in the slides. Grab the pin with vise grips and twist it back and forth while pulling it out.

Thanks for the advice but its still not sliding out. Its not budging. I can wrench on the bolt all day long and it just keeps spinning.

It's rusted in. You can try shooting some PB Blaster into and keep working it. Your only other option is replacing the knuckle too if you can't get it out.
