Car is not starting, there’s a new battery in it. When it’s hooked to jumper cables it sounds like it wants to start, but then when cables are not hooked up it doesn’t do anything at all.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

The first thing I need you to check is if the battery terminals on your vehicle are clean and tight. Also, I need to know if the battery in your vehicle is good and charged.

Take a look through these links for testing.

Let me know what you find. Also, let me know if the engine turns at all when it isn't jump started and how the starter sounds in both cases.

I will watch for your reply.

Take care,
Joe
