My car light on low beam is to dim. I can barely see anything in front of me especially the rode. I changed the bulb to h11 halogen. It is still the same? I cannot see to drive really at night. Is there anything I can do? Do you know if they suppose to be like that?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

Based on your description, no, they should not be like that. When they are on, do they appear to be dim or yellowish in color? If so, read through this link and see if it helps.

I would suspect a bad connection or a bad ground. If needed, I have attached a wiring schematic to help guide you through testing. Here is a link that describes how to check wiring. The second and third are how to use a test light and a volt meter.

Next, under the hood is a relay box. Locate the low beam relay. Remove it and inspect it for corrosion. Here is a link which describes how to check a relay:

Now, if the lights are bright but do not seem to light the road ahead of you, it may be something as simple as having the headlights aligned. That requires a special tool which is expensive and I would suggest having it done.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask if you have a question.

Take care,
Joe

I have asked about low beam lights before. I told you before I used halogen the in low beam. Yes, they did appear yellow. I still cannot see far ahead in my car at night. Can you please help? So after those halogen lights, I went and bought two more light bulbs. These were led 6000 and last one was led 6500. They work the same. I cannot see in front of me far. Theses are the bright white color.
