Air Conditioning problem
1998 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 91000 miles

I BELIEVE MY 1998 TOWN CAR USES 134 COOLANT. I HAVE THE GAUGE TO ADD COOLANT BUT THE ONLY PLACE IT WILL GO ON IS THE BLACK CYLINDER LOCATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ON THE ENGINE NEAR THE FIREWALL. I WAS TOLD IT SHOULD BE ON THE LINE. ALSO IT READS 200 PSI AND THE DIAL GOES ALL THE WAY INTO THE RED. DOES THE UNIT NEED TO BE RUNNING OR OFF.
THANK YOU

Hi hrcom, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the suction accumulator/drier.

The low port has a cap that's where you connect to charge it
