The Code P0700 is Transmission Control System Malfunction or the Transmission Computer.

The only thing so far I have been able to find on Code P1789 is OD/2-4 HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SWITCH CIRCUIT. Which could be just the Selenoid Pack.Ok, the 45 code info I have says to replace the TCM (Tansmission Control Module)

Here are the 2 locations... Depending on Body Style...

I have a a604 with an eatx2 TCM. I have intermittent at start up limp mode problem, I have one code (43) od solenoid circuit failure. I checked resistance of the solenoid it was 1.8 ohms, then I unplugged TCM 60 pin and Solenoid pack 8 pin to check wire it too was good, Does that mean my TCM IS bad?

Hi,

I attached the possible causes but you are on the right path. If the solenoid is new and the tests ok, and the wiring is ok, the only other possible causes are the actual terminal ends or the TCM.

Just do a drag test on the terminals to make sure they have good tension and then you should be good with a TCM.

Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
