White smoke

I have a diesel 1975 landrover series III. There is a lot of white smoke comming out of my exhaust. I'm pretty sure its not burning oil because it was recently re-bored. I'm pretty sure its not steam because there is no drop in water level. I did a brief injector test, and its not the injectors, but it could feasably be something else wrong with the fuel system. Can anyone help? Cheers

White smoke in a diesel is due to incompleate combustion. Check the compressions and the valve clearance's, also check that the injectors are not leaking fuel, this is a job for a diesel work shop. You may be able to isolate the cyl that is causing the problem by backing of the fuel pipe at the injector (NOT all the way) this will cut the fuel to the cyl and the white smote may ease off while the faulty cylinder is isolated.
