1995 Other Jeep Models 4X4 doesnt engage

1995 Other Jeep Models 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

I just bought this jeep and when I try to put the shifter in 4x4 it feels like it goes there but nothing happens im still in 2 wheel drive is there a switch or some thing I dont know about

No found out previous owner took off hydraulic line to actuator mechanic in this town dumb founded so he put it in constant 4x4? He doesnt know how to fix told me to take it to a dodge dealer, will when I can afford it until then it will have to sit. Also no horn or dashlights need horn to have it out of province registered, being a girl no one tells me much except that everything is expensive? Need to find a manual or repair book thanx a lot for replying I really appreciate it.
