Transmission problem
2005 Other Jeep Models 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 05 jeep rubicon with a busted transfer case (NP241J) but I also have a chevy transfer case(NP241C) can I put that transfer case in my jeep?

The NP241 was used in Dodge, Jeep Chevy starting in 87. Now youi can usually swap jeep and dodge ok but the gm 241, bolt pattern is clocked about 90 degree's off. Same number of bolts but the case is turned. Look at it and compare and I am sure this is what you will see. The chevy transfer case is good trading material tho so if it will not work I would try and trade it for one that fits the Rubicon. Hope this helps Curt
